Showcasing mobility solutions at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018

6 March 2018

With more than 800 exhibitors and 30,000 professionals, Intertraffic Amsterdam is the world’s largest exhibition in the field of infrastructure, traffic management, safety, parking, and smart mobility. Intertraffic is a must for anyone working in these fields. Technolution presented itself in the RAI Amsterdam from March 20 to 23.

Getting a grip on traffic with MobiMaestro

MobiMaestro is a modular solution for network-wide traffic management. Cities, municipalities, and provinces at home and abroad are using this flexible platform to connect traffic light controllers, route information, bridges, and tunnels. In the Danish capital Copenhagen, MobiMaestro is a crucial part of an ambitious project to make the city carbon neutral by 2025.

Our MobiMaestro demonstration was presented at the Connekt stand (stand 08.418).

Monitoring events with a Common Operational Picture

It’s crucial to have an overview of the traffic in the vicinity of major events. A Common Operational Picture (COP) can, at a glance, give the traffic control center a complete picture of the current traffic situation, the parking situation, and other relevant information about the area, such as traffic-related messages on social media. The COP can be displayed in several traffic control centers simultaneously and has an open architecture, which means it is possible to add floating car data. A successful pilot was carried out in Amsterdam during Rolling Stones and U2 concerts in the Arena stadium. Technolution developed the COP together with partners and stakeholders in the field.

You could have visited simulated mobility center at Entrance C in the RAI to see a further development of the COP that maps traffic movements around Intertraffic Amsterdam.
